Description | Riding profile
Côte-du-Sud is a new riding on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, just west and south of Rivière-du-Loup. It contains the old riding of Montmagny–L'Islet and a good chunk of the defunct distrcit of Kamouraska–Témiscouata. Communities includ Berthier-sur-Mer, Cap-Saint-Ignace, Lac-Frontière, L'Islet, Montmagny, Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Adalbert, Saint-Antoine-de-l'Isle-aux-Grues, Saint-Aubert and Kamouraska.
Political history
The predecessor riding of Kamouraska–Témiscouata was Liberal from 1985 onward, while Montmagny–L'Islet was held by the Liberals, ADQ and PQ at one time or another since 1998. |
