| Info | Jim Burns was elected in 2004 to represent the east side of Greenville County, District 21. Mr. Burns, a Manager of Projects for Jacobs, earned degrees from Clemson University.
He has lived in Greenville since the age of 9 and attended Mauldin High School.
Jim and his wife, Kathy, have three children. They are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenville.
Prior to his Council term, he served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for both Greenville County and the City of Greenville. Jim graduated from Leadership Greenville with Class 28. In 2004, he was named one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest under 35 by Greenville Magazine.
Councilor Burns serves as Vice Chairman on the Council Finance Committee, he also serves on the Public Service, Planning and Development Committee.
