Obituary...
"Robert "Bob" B. Usdane of Scottsdale was born on March 11, 1936 and passed away peacefully on January 4, 2011. Born in New York, Bob moved to Arizona in 1955. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He had a passion for trying to make a difference in the lives of others and was known to be a man of the highest integrity and principles. Bob served as a Board Member of the Scottsdale Unified School District from 1968-1976. From 1976 until 1990, he served in the Arizona State Senate, serving six years as the Majority Leader and two years as the President of the State Senate. He was influential in the passage of numerous pieces of important legislation including helping to write the AHCCCS bill. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Marsha, and family members, Denise and Owen McNulty, Suzi and Bruce Wall, Babette and David McDonald, Michelle Shepp, and Kiel and Christene Usdane. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren who were the light of his life, Serena, Carlyn, Matthew, Mariah, Jacob, Daniel, Ashley, William and Elizabeth."
