InfoBefore going into the Marine Corps, at the age of 16, Tom served in the us Army Transport Command and was assigned to the Army Hospital ship Dogwood that brought back our wounded and dead men & women of the Army Rangers and 82nd & 101st Airborne. Tom is permanently inscribed on the "Wall of Liberty". Honorably discharged.

At 17 he enlisted in the US Navy and volunteered for the US Navy Amphibious Force and was assigned to the USS LSM (Landing Ship Medium) 544 doing convoy duty as guard for the new Rocket Ships headed for the South Pacific war zone. Honorably discharged on overseas points.

WW II emergency still on, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged, was called back in to serve in the Korean war. During this time in the Corps, he was assigned to Military Security Police duties and attended the Marine Corps Institute and studied Modern Criminal Investigation.

Phelan attended the S.P.A.D.E.A. (FBI) school for Advanced Techniques in Civil and Criminal Investigations (forensics in field and laboratory); special training in sabotage, terrorism and the psychological aspects of espionage & mind control.

Tom was a lead investigator for the Police Commissioner Burns and Commissioner Nolan Detective agencies.

12 years as a New York City Police Departmel1t officer and detective he made approximately 1400 arrests with over a 95% conviction record.

AWARDS -Armed Forces

North Atlantic War Zone, European War Zone, American Theater and 3 WW II Victory medals, Winner of the USMC International-Elliott Trophy for Rifle Competition Expert Medal .45 and M1 Garand, plus the Korean war medal.

NYPD -3 Meritorious Police medals, 1 Excellent Police and a Grand Jury Commendation.

For 3 years he was the Chief Instructor for the Continental Investigation Academy. He taught courses in all phases of surveillance, criminal and civil law pertaining to various investigations, forensics in the lab and field, photography in homicides, arson, on surveillance, report writing, evidence gathering, securing evidence, handling and packaging evidence and modus operandi of subjects.

Mr. Phelan was a security consultant for the Venezuelan Ambassador to the United Nations directing complete armed security for him and his family after a death threat by the terrorist leader of Omega 7.

From 1973 to 1980, Phelan was security advisor to the US delegate to Greece, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Grenada, S.A. He was in charge of all phases of security throughout the world and in the United States.

Tom is an International Kickboxing Champion and has been inducted into the New Jersey Garden State Games Karate "Hall of Fame".

His 2 screenplays titled "Why Don't You Die" and "Call Me Michael" are with an agent in California.

He was terrorist expert for channel 9 WOR TV during the 9-11 murders.

Tom was a radio and TV talk show host for 4 years until he decided to run for political office. He is now running for Governor of New Jersey on the Conservative Party Ballot.
