InfoAs a volunteer consumer advocate, I represent real people, making sure that their voice is heard. I have dealt with food issues, agriculture, pensions, auto insurance, electricity and health care.

I have been a member of the Board of Directors of the Alberta branch of the Consumers Association of Canada since 2001. In 2002 I was elected to the National Board of Directors of the Consumers Association of Canada, and have served as Vice President of the Consumers Association for more than a year.

In 2002 I was appointed to Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency’s Pest Management Advisory Committee.

Working as an advocate for consumer rights, over the past few years I have gained a great deal of experience dealing with Politicians, Bureaucrats, Media, and people from all walks of life, right across the country. I have learned to listen to the concerns of regular people, and to communicate those concerns in forums where our voices can be heard.

Married, I have lived in the Morinville area since 1989, and currently work for Lafarge Canada driving a concrete mixer. I have two great stepchildren and three wonderful grandchildren.
