InfoDelegate Bob Marshall married Cathy Fonseca in 1976. They have five children, Teresa, Chris (deceased), Mary, Joey and Tommy, (two at home) and attend All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas. They moved from Fairfax County in 1980 and have lived in Prince William County ever since. Bob has received numerous civic and service awards over the years, and also served on the Prince William County advisory committee which proposed building the Prince William Parkway.

Bob was first elected in 1991 to the Virginia House of Delegates. He was Vice-Chairman of the Counties, Cities and Towns Committee, and Chairman of a Privileges and Elections Sub Committee, as well as the Assembly’s Joint Stem Cell Study Committee.

Bob has a BA in History and Philosophy from Belmont Abbey College, North Carolina, and an MA in Humanities from California State University. He has a personal library of 2000+ books, is an avid reader of history, philosophy, constitutional issues, and medical, social and political issues of importance. His hobbies (when he has time) include exercising, gardening and photography.
