| Info | Dawn Marie Sass was elected as Wisconsins thirty-third Treasurer on November 7, 2006. IDawn is the third female Treasurer in the States history.
Born in 1959, Dawn is a Milwaukee native. Paying her own way through college,SSass received a BA in history and political science from UW Milwaukee in 1994. Most recently, Dawn was a Milwaukee County juvenile justice custody placement specialist.She has served as a probation officer and a child welfare worker. Dawn was named Department of Human Services Employee of the Month in May, 2004 and was honoredffor twenty-five years of service in August, 2006.
Dawn served as a treasurer for Wisconsin Electrical Contractors Corporation for 18 years and ran Dawn Electric for two years.She has also been a proud member of AFSCME for 28 years and was elected and served as treasurer of Local 645 for seven years.
Dawn has been elected a delegate to three Democratic National Conventions in 1996, 2000 and 2004. Dawn served on the Credentials Committee in Denver attthe 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Dawn is a member of the State Board of Commissioners of Public Lands; State Depository Selection Board; Insurance Security Fund (Board of Directors); State of Wisconsin Investment Board; Wisconsin Retirement Fund; Wisconsin College Savings Board.
