| Info | It has been an honor and a privilege to represent the community where I was born and raised. Thank you for placing your confidence in me to serve as your City Councilor for District 3 in the City of Albuquerque.
During this term much needed capital projects have been completed or are underway, new parks like the Women’s Memorial Park and Anderson Heights Park. The South Valley Senior Respite Center has been completed and will soon be open. The new West Gate Community Center is almost finished and the Route 66 Visitors Center is under construction. Other projects include Street Lighting for the Southwest Mesa and many others. I am also proud to say I have introduced and/or supported legislation that supports working families. I have also encouraged business owners to locate at Las Estancias, Unser Crossing and Atrisco Plaza in District 3.
This work isn’t done alone; it is the result of years of collaborating with dedicated community volunteers and also partnering with local, county, state and federal elected officials to accomplish the community’s long term vision for Southwest Albuquerque. My husband Johnny and I are the proud parents of 6 children and 11 grandchildren. It has always been our vision that not only our children but all children have a safe and healthy place to play, learn and thrive in a community with opportunities for all its residents.
