| Info | Rick was born and raised in the Sunbury area, graduating from Shikellamy High School in 1985. During his youth, he worked on his grandfather's dairy farm just outside of Sunbury, and was able to help put himself through college with the money he saved. He graduated from the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA in 1989 with a B.A. in Political Science.
After college, Rick went to work for SEI Corporation, a financial services company in the Philadelphia area. While there, he also attended law school in the evenings, and graduated from The Widener School Of Law, Wilmington, DE in 1995. In 1996, he took as position as an attorney and regulatory compliance manager with Miller, Anderson & Sherrerd, LLP, a financial management firm and subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, a global asset managment firm. During his six years at the firm, Rick became a Vice President of the parent company, spending time working in both their West Philadelphia, PA offices and their offices in The World Trade Center in Manhattan, NY.
In mid-2002, Rick moved back to Sunbury with his growing family to take a position as an attorney with the Northumberland County law firm of Wiest, Muolo, Noon & Swinehart. Since then, he has maintained a general law practice, with an emphasis on municipal law, business law, estate planning and special education law matters.
Rick lives in Sunbury with his wife Paula and their four children: Natalie (12), Lily (10), Eric (8) and Brady (4).
Rick currently serves as Solicitor for the following Susquehanna Valley municipal entities:
Point Township
Point Township Planning Commission
Mahoning Township
Mahoning Township Authority
Mahoning Township Planning Commission
Liverpool Municipal Authority
In addition, he is a member of the Northumberland County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, the Pennslvania State Association of Township Solicitors, and the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Exceptional Child Law Sub-Committee.
