He is also the father of two children, Tamara and Tehrik. Representative Knight received his B.S., with Honors, in Business Administration from Alabama State University. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Kershaw YMCA and the Montgomery Housing Authority. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery Improvement Association, the Family Sunshine Center, the Southern Development Council, Inc., the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and the Cleveland Avenue YMCA. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Montgomery County Democratic Conference, is a member of the Montgomery County Democratic Executive Committee, the Alabama Democratic Party Executive Committee, and has served as President of the Montgomery County Young Democrats, and as a State Committee Member for the Alabama Young Democrats.
