| Info | Judge David L. Ashworth was sworn in as a member of the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas on January 3, 2000. He was born in 1955 in Hartford, Connecticut.
He graduated from Conestoga High School in Chester County, Pennsylvania and Gettysburg College with a B.S. degree in English. He graduated with honors from the Delaware Law School of Widener
University.
Prior to going on the bench, Judge Ashworth was a civil trial attorney for nearly twenty years and one of the founding partners of Wagman, Ashworth, Kreider and Wright. He is active in the community having served on numerous boards and as past president of the Rotary Club of Lancaster. He often speaks to school students and youth organizations throughout Lancaster County and is an instructor at The People’s Law School. He is a member of the Lancaster County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges.
Judge Ashworth is married to the former Kathleen Bantz and they have three daughters, Whitney, Lauren and Kelsey.
