| Info | Paul S. Burtzlaff is involved in the community. A native of northeast Ohio and a resident of Avon Lake, Paul knows the people, the challenges and the potential of the residents of the 13th Congressional district. As a pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, he is acutely aware of the concerns and issues of people he serves.
Paul S. Burtzlaff is committed to serving people. He is a veteran of the United States Naval Reserve and served as a Chaplain to both Naval and Marine Corps personnel and their families. After completing eight years of service, he received an honorable
discharge. He states, “It was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I have the utmost respect for the men and women of our armed services.”

Paul S. Burtzlaff knows the importance and value of education. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI. He earned a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University, DeLand, FL. Currently, he is completing his Ph.D. at the University of Florida, Gainesville in Counselor Education, specializing in Marriage and Family.

Paul S. Burtzlaff is dedicated to building strong families. Serving as both a Family Life Minister and previously as a parochial school administrator, Paul knows the importance of doing everything possible to strengthen our greatest asset, our families and our children. Along with his wife Suzanne, he draws on his education, experience and family principles in raising their children, nine year-old Sydnee and 7 year-old Reagan.
