Info | Tripp Skipper is the District Director for Congressman Mike Rogers. As District Director for Congressman Rogers, Tripp is responsible for managing all matters of three congressional offices in Alabama, including working with mayors, county commissioners, legislators, and other elected officials on projects of local and state interest. When he joined Congressman Rogers Campaign as Political Director in the spring of 2002, Tripp brought with him public policy and public affairs skills.
Tripp was born on August 12, 1975, in Dothan, Alabama, and grew up in Mobile. He received a bachelor's degree in religion from the University of Mobile in 1997, serving as Pastor of County Line Baptist Church in Marengo County, Alabama. Following graduation, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Vanderbilt Divinity School. While attending Vanderbilt Tripp served as an intern for Senator Fred Thompson and later as a Field Representative for the Tennessee Republican Party. As a Field Representative he ran the successful campaign of State Representative William Baird, unseating a fourteen year democratic incumbent. After working on State Representative Baird's campaign, Tripp moved to Washington D.C. to serve as a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Jeff Sessions and later as Field Representative for Congressman Robert Adherholt.
Tripp is married to Sarah Gholston Skipper, who works at Auburn University. They attend First Baptist Wadley, where Tripp serves at the bi-vocational pastor. Tripp and Sarah live in Auburn with their dog "Bubba."
