I contacted the office of the WV SOS earlier this week to ask if they have the original presidential primary returns on file. An employee replied with links to the state blue book. These books reported primary election results beginning in 1920. I have been adding this information. This leaves only 1916 unofficial here for WV.

it felt like I was personally inflicting pain on the WV servers the first few times I tried viewing large Blue Book PDFs on their site
they managed to put the primary results in the even numbered year editions and the general election results in the odd numbered year editions
