Thanks, RBH, for your work on these races and all of the other 2018 races you've worked on!

Oklahoma managed to have at least one primary for like 85 of the 101 House races, pretty amazing amount of primaries considering it was a 3 day long filing period

the new layout for the Oklahoma candidate filing page neat and new.. [Link]

the one annoyance (having to click "more info" to get more than the candidates name) is moot once you 'export PDF' and it's the same layout that they used for many years. Oklahoma also posts the declarations of candidacy with candidate birthdates which is helpful for various reasons.

This mostly accurate with bad pronunciation youtube on the Oklahoma panhandle is pretty interesting if you didn't know the history or the why of the panhandle.

Helps provide an explanation for the terms "Sooner" "Boomer" that are associated with Oklahoma and the land rush.

Without watching it, I remember that there were to be no more slave states north of Missouri's southern border, so Texas had to end there.

RP: Without watching it, I remember that there were to be no more slave states north of Missouri's southern border, so Texas had to end there.

Bingo. Texas gave it up to be part of the Union, No slave territory above the 36.5 paralelle, became sorta a no mans land lawlessness - then a land grab - then part of the Oklahoma Territory and Oklahoma Statehood. Dust bowl depopulation.

This of course ignores native history of the land.
