Failure to resolve French-German differences today [Link] present some unusually-high hedgerows to climb over for those favored seigneurs thought to take over as the EU's High Representative (Margrethe Vestager?!), President of the Central Bank (Villeroy de Galhau), President of the European Parliament (Tajani again?), President of the European Commission (Manfred Weber) and European Council President (Dalia Grybauskaite, I think).
This is usually a well-calibrated, uneventful (i.e., yawn-inducing) affair.
