It seems that John Parker split from the Workers World Party with the people who formed the Socialist Unity Party. For the time being I'll switch his party here to Peace & Freedom, since the Socialist Unity Party hasn't run any candidates on their own name yet, so we don't need to create a new party until that happens.

a party splitting off with the name the "Socialist Unity Party" feels about right for how these things go

👍🏽and 🤣

Truer words have never been spoken. Socialists are so passionate (and maybe arrogant?) - even to this day - about the orthodoxy of their philosophies that they continually divide into smaller and smaller pieces.

It probably all started with the Mensheviks splitting from the Bolsheviks.

What's left of WWP after the PSL split and now this apparent split?

I get Emails from them and I think they still do activism, but notice how they didn't run anyone in 2020.

Maybe it is getting too small to keep up

it's been a busy week for John Parker?

How this furthers his campaign is beyond me. The Marxist-Leninist and Trotskyist sectlets in the U.S. love international travel.

Do they know that Russia isn't Communist anymore?

feels like there should be a term for the people whose foreign policy views are "I'm supportive of whoever the US government is against right now"

What in the world is this guy wearing in the Ukraine photo? Looks like an oversized open-face Bell racing helmet covered in camouflage duct tape or something. Makes Mike Dukakis look like a seasoned tank commander, and that takes some work.
