| Info | My family, my community, and my social justice values as a trusted advisor in the faith community, drive all of my passions and actions. I am a Husband of nineteen years to Rachel Hughes, father of 4 children, and grandfather to 7 beautiful young people, all living in Denver, Colorado. As a vocation and calling, I am a Pastor at New Covenant Christian Church Alpha and Omega Ministries (NCCCAO). NCCCAO is a servant ministry church focused on social justice issues, activism, and the healing of individuals and the community. Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, I am known to many as Pastor Big “T.”
I presently serve as the Faith Leader for the Colorado Poor People’s Campaign, Denver Branch. I am a national speaker, trainer and activist for HIV/AIDS, health disparities and social justice in the African American Community. I am a Past President of the Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance (2016-2018), and was selected as Pastor of The Year in 2015 by the Colorado Gospel Music Academy. In 2016. I received the Denver Institute of Urban Studies and Adult College, Degree of Honorary Doctor of Divinity. I also recently received the Denver Urban Spectrum 2020 African Americans Who Make A Difference Award.
