InfoJohn Castorani was born in Henrico County and raised in Louisa County. At age 12, his single mother moved the family to Alabama. John lived there until returning to attend high school at Fork Union Military Academy in Fluvanna County, Virginia. It was there that he gained a passion for public service and began his life in the Military. After enlisting in the Army at the age of 17, he honorably served nine years across Active Duty and the Reserves. During those nine years he was deployed and serving in multiple intelligence disciplined roles throughout the Army's Special Operations Command.

In 2014, John went to work within the Intelligence Community where he continued his public service as an Intelligence officer. Throughout his time in the Intel Community, he deployed multiple times to hotspots throughout Africa and the Middle East. While supporting the Joint Special Operations Command, he met his wife, Krissy, who is also a veteran and current Intelligence Officer. John and Krissy have made their home in Orange County, Virginia. They welcomed their first child, a boy, in June 2021. Their son, Slade, is the 7th generation of John's family to call Virginia's 7th Congressional District Home.

John believes that securing our borders is a matter of National Security, not a political pressure point, and is passionate about defending American values and ideals. These are the rights he fought to protect in the military and vows to continue protecting as a member of Congress. He is an unapologetic supporter of the sanctity of life, the 2nd Amendment, and all of the individual liberties we hold dear as Virginians and Americans.
