| Info | Brenda Forman was elected to the Broward County Clerk of Courts Office in November 2016. She was sworn in on January 3, 2017 and was the first African American and the first elected female clerk in the history of the Broward County Clerk of Court's Office. She studied at Broward College and Union Institute University.
Prior to being elected Clerk, Ms. Forman’s work experience included the Broward County Clerk of Courts Office, ChildNet, the State Attorney’s Office and CEO and founder of B Dixon Mortgage Company.
Ms. Forman has been an advocate against domestic violence and Human Trafficking for several years. She is also a member of the FNC (Florida National University) steering committee that works against human trafficking, domestic violence and the exploitation of missing children.
She is actively involved in a number of community organizations such as the Broward County Bar Association, South Broward Bar Association, Kiwanis Club of Davie/West Hollywood, Broward County Police Chiefs Association, National Council of Negro Women, BCCPA Domestic Violence Committee, Soroptomist International of Davie, Tower Forum, South Florida Noble-Black Law Enforcement, South Broward Board of Realtors, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and B’nai B’rith.
