Info | Tom Blickensderfer, a Colorado native, is the Director of the Endangered Species Program of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. He graduated from Colorado College in 1979 and from Denver University Law School in 1988. In the early days of his legal practice, Tom worked on appellate level cases involving the Endangered Species Act. After practicing law for a time, Tom was elected to the Legislature of the State of Colorado where he served on the Joint Budget Committee from 1994 to 1998 and then as Senate Majority Leader in 1999 and 2000. In December 2000, Tom accepted his current position. Tom sits on many working groups and committees, contributing to such programs as the Upper Colorado River Endangered Fish Recovery Program.
