Bowman is grandstanding.

The problem with Democrats like Bowman is that the only solution he believes there is to protect innocent people in active shooter incidents is to ban guns.

This is a simplistic if-then solution and won't address the problem at all. It doesn't address why people want to harm and kill others. It would also punish law abiding citizens, responsible gun owners, and people who have a right to protect themselves from criminals.

The problem isn't guns...its the growing population of unstable people seeking to kill and do harm to others. But that's a much more complex problem to solve and will require a solution that doesn't fit the black / white political narratives that dominate American politics. 		Candidate

Consider the context. I haven’t clicked certified, said I was going to check sources tomorrow when the reporter filed his report, this is a party run vacancy committee race, and their is a fair interpretation from the reporting on the scene in the tweets provided for the vote total when third place finisher directed his delegates to vote for Holtorf.
