Dems should follow Jon Tester's example. It's often more about cultural fit than policy

Still pretty crazy that as late as 1991, there could be more than double the amount of votes in the Democratic primary than for the Democratic nominee in November.

In 1968, Galifianakis received a special visit on the House floor from the newly elected president, Richard Nixon ’37, who wanted to meet his fellow Duke Law graduate. Multiple invitations for dinner at the White House followed, as were rides home on Air Force One whenever the president was headed to North Carolina. (Galifianakis was surprised and dismayed when Helms’ 1972 campaign posters carried an admonition from President Nixon that “I need Jesse Helms in Washington.”)

If you have to take the 5th Amendment when asked if you believe in the peaceful transition of power, that might be a problem.

Patrick: if only cornyn had the ability to clarify what he actually meant

He did

Precedent certainly is not a "garbage argument." But it is only one argument.

And WA Indy, I think our disconnect is which part of Cornyn's tweet we each focused on. I focused more on the first clause and you focused more on the latter parts. Cornyn has since tweeted some clarifications and I'm sure he (or more likely the staffer who tweets) didn't intend it the way some are taking it, but he probably should have worded it more clearly the first time around.

All the replies are saying Cornyn is advocating for resegregation, yet again raising the question of whether the respondents are dumb or acting in bad faith. Here, it's pretty obvious it's the latter.

BrentinCO: The GOPs 24% third place finisher Kathy Barnette has not endorsed Oz, gone out of her way to say she has not endorsed Oz. Seems like there is something still lingering.

Well we know how she feels about Muslims...
