I think he's gonna try to convince Stabenow to retire. If he wants to run for president in the future (and he does), what will make a better campaign ad: grandstanding in Senate committees or having his policies blocked by GOP state legislators?

May and Cameron also stayed on a bit after announcing their resignations, but that was only until the next party leader was chosen (a month or two later). I feel like staying on even after that is begging for a vote of no confidence.

I've heard about Those Racist Democrats for a while now, and I think I've seen someone make this exact point on Twitter a few times, but this is another level. It shouldn't be surprising, since his campaign manager is a Q guy (per [Link] ).
