I read an old newspaper interview with Wallace in 1959, in which he said he had registered as an independent throughout most of the 1950s and did not belong to either political party. He also mentioned in the interview that he voted for Theodore Roosevelt in 1912 and Robert LaFollette in 1924.

It is possible. Al Williams's biography says he was a delegate to six Democratic conventions and C. A. "Al" Williams was elected as a delegate to the 1972 Democratic Convention.

Many years ago, it appears that I made the same mistake with Bettendorf's voter registration as I did with Davenport. May someone help me clean it up? Thank you.

I have no idea what is happening with Davenport's voter registration. I tried cleaning it up, but I think I made it worse.

I have been going down the list of Illinois counties and adding them from time to time. I will get to this one eventually unless someone else wants to.

In multi-member districts, all candidates are elected in the year of redistricting, and their terms are staggered. As I have been adding Illinois elections, I have placed all candidates in one container unless it has already been determined who was elected for the 4-year term and who was elected for the 2-year term.

This is why I hate multi-member districts.

Some members will be up in 2024, and the rest will be up in 2026. It just depends on what terms are decided upon. In Rock Island County, they draw lots to determine who gets the four-year term and who gets the two-year term. I am unsure if DuPage selects there the same way.

Not surprising. The Republicans attempted to get him to run for Cook County Board President back in 2010.

I don't usually contribute to site discussion. Still, in the past, when this has happened to me, I went to another device where I was logged into ourcampaigns (i.e., cell phone, tablet, another computer), and I changed the password through that, and I was then able to log in through my main computer.

As this is my home district, it makes a little more sense than the others because it now connects both WIU campuses in the same legislative district. Though I know, that was not the intent.

Based on her FEC paperwork, yes. She has a residence in Rockford and apparently worked 18 years in Chicago in the finance industry.

The 1860 South Carolina Journal of the State House mentions that the choice of Breckenridge was unanimous between both the House and the Senate and there was no debate or roll call prior.

Well, I wasn't meaning to click any winner but yes, the clear winner link does give us grief.

I was updating the results and somehow accidentally marked Lodge, the winner. I clicked the clear winner link, but he's still checked as a winner.

The last two were also write-in candidates based on the sample ballot.

Each member casts their own weighted vote. So both male and female committee members cast separate votes which is why the numbers are high.

He received 69 votes to become the nominee; 60 votes were needed. Will he become speaker? who knows? This is Illinois, after all.

It's okay, he'll run for either U.S. Senate or Governor in 2022.

I was wondering if someone who knows how could add a township map for Rock Island County? I would, but I'm not sure I'm skilled enough to. Thanks!

He also dropped out of this race on December 24 due to objections to his petition. [Link]

Lawlor did not file so she is not a candidate.

It took a while, but I completed the IL Gov race by Congressional District. As you will notice, I have also been working on the IL Gov race by Legislative District as well, which I will continue to work toward finishing.

Somehow the Skillicorn endorsement of Oberweis posted twice and it's not letting me delete the second one.
