Recount, in the 91st and 85th both GOP leads, if Dems win both it is a 50-50 tie. I dont think they will win even 1, an over 90 vote difference in a recount is hard to overcome at the state house level in almost every state.
The AP still has not called 10th, 21st, 85th, and 91st. Decision Desk has the same except they called the 10th as a Dem win. The 21st has the Dem leading ..,969-..,735 the 85th has the Gop leading ..,202-..,000, and the 91st has the GOP leading ..,790-..,518. Ballots can arrive up until today as long as they are post marked to election day or before. I expect the 3 outstanding races will be called either today or on Monday.
The Democrats have lost control of the state house. There are 4 outstanding races the GOP is ahead in 1 and DEM in 3. In the GOP leading district the GOP candidate is up ..,790 to ..,518 (91). The closest Dem leader is leading the contest by 94 votes (85)
Results wont be known until the board of canvassers for Oakland County either makes an announcement or the election is certified. 792 write-in votes have been cast in this contest, not all of them will be for a valid candidate.
It is very clear Likud is going to win the popular vote when combining the exit polls with the results so far. I gave them the checkmark, although it looks increasingly doubtful that Netanyahu will be able to form a government.
Whoever wins this primary probably wins the GE, considering the short term limits and this is only a half term. It is possible the winner of this primary could be the most Sr. State Senator in MI for a four year period during their second term.
Well when the polls closed and none of the results were out yet the numbers were tied at 0, so it really was an open question. I mean the opposition leader said they were going to lose the election and ALP already had a good size majority. But the only poll that counts is on election day.
What if we have a situation when all candidates run on the same ballot but top 2 get elected for a long term and the top 3rd gets a shorter term. Do I just create a separate container to show who holds the shorter term council seat (this is what I did but not sure if there is a better way to do it).
This election just turned interesting, I will try to get final vote totals but state party usually tries to keep them secret. We will know who won, but how the roughly 2,100 delegates voted might not be available.
