Description

A convention was held from November 3rd to November 4th to nominate pre-candidates. Where Javier Gerardo Limones Ceniceros, Ana María Moreno Hernández, Francisco Javier Rodríguez Espejel, Lorena Romo Vite, Benjamín Antonio Russek de Garay, Ernesto Miguel Sánchez Ruiz, Indira Kempis Martínez, and Samuel Alejandro García Sepúlveda registered. However García was ruled the only Pre Candidate to qualify and he was chosen to be the parties nominee. Before he could file to run in the election proper, García's would resign as the nominee to return to Nuevo León due to political instability as the State Congress refused to choose a member of García's party to serve as interim governor.

An emergency conference was called to select Jorge Álvarez Máynez as the candidate in his stead
