What?
What she is saying is 100% right. It's always blue no matter who until its a blue they don't like. Walton literally had to essentially drag endorsements out of people who put this exact same sentiment

Italics is sarcasm, sweetie.
And Byron got the votes, apparently. Progressives love The People right up until they vote for anything other than what they want.

Unless it's OC policy, does anyone object to selecting Byron W. Brown rather than "Write-in Nonpartisan" as the victor here? We would otherwise see a Mayor Write-in Nonpartisan as Buffalo's new executive officer.
I also have selfish reasons, I'm afraid. I'm anxious to get those extra prediction points.

I've consulted the rules of the internet and been reminded that the first person to mention Hitler wins. I bow to you.

this is the 3rd time since the last time Buffalo elected an enrolled Republican mayor (in 1961) that the Democratic nominee has lost to a Democratic incumbent who lost the primary (Griffin won in 1977 and 1985 after losing Dem primaries)
Congrats to the Erie County elections people who might get paid extra to tally write-in votes. At least I hope they're paid extra.

We need some actual vote totals. I don't think you'd like the prediction points you would get for a candidate with 0 votes.

Imagine losing a primary and not simply taking the L.
It always seems to be the VBNMW types who do it as well
Imagine losing an election to someone who lost their own primary.

Easy when it just so happens the Dem establushmrnt chooses to not push him not to.
Yet they're ready to push discourse when a Progressive tries to do it.

imagine winning more votes in November than the total number of June primary votes (25773 vs 23186), only to lose by 20% to a write-in candidate?

The counterrevolutionaries in the Delaware District swung it from 63-35 Walton in the primary to 58-41 Brown in the general. Meanwhile Walton did carry Masten 51-49 in the general after losing it 55-39 in the primary. Niagara was Walton's best district both times. South was Brown's best district both times.
