Description |
In 2020 Joe Biden narrowly won the 40th district. Despite his victory republicans hold a tight grip on this district. Incumbent Kristin Corrado remains the only elected female republican in the State Senate, and she is seeking a seconed term.
Democrats recruited Michael Sedon, a member of the Ridgewood Village Council, who ran for the General Assembly in 2019 eventually dropping his campaign. Corrado who is now a member of the GOP leadership is in a good position in a district that has grown competitive over the last 10 years.
