Wait the Coalition needed Ra'am?
Did Joint List not join?
I am so confused
Yamina 7 minus 1 who defected to Camp Netanyahu = 6 (Bennett)
Blue and White = 8
Labor Party = 7
Yisrael Beiteinu = 7
New Hope = 6
Meretz = 6
Yesh Atid = 17 (Lapid)
Ra'am (United Arab List) = 4
TOTAL 61
The new governing majority would span eight heterogenous parties, including ultra-nationalists, centrists and the left. It would also rely on the votes of Ra’am, a small Arab Israeli party, though the faction is not expected to formally join the coalition. Excluding one Yamina MK who defected to the pro-Netanyahu camp, the grouping comprises 61 MKs, enough for the slimmest of majorities.
------
Yet if Netanyahu is ousted, it will not be because the country voted for the left, but because his determination to stay in office at all costs fractured the right into pro and anti-Netanyahu camps, giving Bennett the narrow opening he hopes to exploit to form a government.

Of Joint List MKs, Hadash and Balad have said they will vote against a unity government while Ta’al may choose to abstain. https://www.timesofisrael.com/most-joint-list-mks-to-vote-against-unity-government-that-would-oust-netanyahu/

There's a move to replace the speaker of the Knesset, who the change government believes is dragging his feet in scheduling a vote to confirm the new government. The Joint List has said it would support the early ousting of the speaker, but Bennett/Lapid have said they don't want to rely on Joint List support for this move. Yamina MK Nir Orbach opposes the move, so we're in a holding pattern. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-june-3-2021/
Meanwhile, during the period where the speaker is not scheduling the vote, Likud and Religious Zionist members are showing up at the homes of Yamina MKs to pressure them to defect.

Remarkable. I really didn't think it was going to hold. But how long will it hold. Netanyahu vows to be back "sooner than you think."
