If charisma was an issue in this election, the Greens would have maintained their lead through the spring. Scholtz comes off to me like a male Merkel who happens to wear a red tie; Laschet just wears a blue one. My money is just on CDU/CSU and SPD switching spots in a grand coalition, though a spell in opposition for one of the major parties probably wouldn't be a bad thing.

“I don’t think we’re going to get it done quickly. In all honesty I don’t think we’re going to get a new government quickly,” Carsten Brzeski, chief economist at ING, told CNBC Monday.
