You can make the argument whichever of the 2 major party presidential candidates loses in November

Hey CAModerate,

Your link for Gonzalez Fletcher goes to her website's home page. Is your nomination for the Elon Musk tweet? Just wanted to make sure we remember at the end of the year.

Bloomberg spent $1B+ of his own money to win one caucus, and he might finish second among New York City mayors.

Also, I think this contest is going to get pretty crowded. Can't nominate her yet, but I'm reserving a spot for the junior Senator from Georgia.

How much is he spending to win this race?

It's between Joni Ernst and Martha McSally right now. Ernst is looking like the biggest loser right now. There's two months but potentially she may lose a seat in a state that Trump wins.

So how does voting work in this election. Endorsement = vote?

There are several rounds of voting. There is a preliminary round where candidates are "nominated". If a candidate gets multiple votes, they are kept on the ballot. If they do not receive multiple votes, they are struck from the ballot. Users get unlimited votes in this round.

There will be multiple rounds of actual voting. The final round is a ranked ballot. Specific numbers will be announced based on the number of candidates.

Let's all hope. I don't think I could deal with a Groundhog Year situation.

I mean Frownfelter can probably be removed if he ends up winning re-election.

Certainly hurts his candidacy, but he may get nominations just by losing the primary.

I don't know if Trump is a better candidate for this race or Nutjob of the Year, but his refusal to concede and his firing of federal officials seem to point to the fact that he is losing his mental stability right now.

Depends on how many people get through the nomination round. I think last year, it was between six and eight for the first round.

Hey I don't know how we will end up narrowing down the list but I have an idea. What if we had three primaries - one for the Democrats, one for the Republicans, and one for everyone else. You can cast two votes in each primary, resulting in six people advancing to the final vote.

Also if we hold the primaries in different weeks, people could post why they support specific candidates in the primary but not get tangled up in a field of 40 candidates.

Just an idea of something a little different.
