Hyde-Smith's campaign is pretty unusual for somebody who finished first on November 6th with an electorate that should give her a 58/42 win.

Like this is some sort of giant expectations-game thing where winning by an expected margin is gonna be treated as a bigger deal than it is.

Casual racism, anti-democratic tendencies, and a fondness for the Confederacy just aren't so much liabilities in this race. If Cindy Hyde-Smith is to pull a Roy Moore she will really have to step up her game.

What is most amusing here, at least to me, is that Republicans run candidates like CHS, and then go on talk radio and cable news to attack the solid support among African Americans of the Democratic Party.
