Mimi Walters, who donated 300k to the Gas Tax repeal and campaigned for NRCC chair between election day and losing her seat.

Nominating a Dem here too.

Lupe Valdez, who lost by 13% for Governor in a year where Beto got within 3% and various random Texas Democrats finished within single digits.

Nobody really expected anything of Lupe Valdez though.

First round of voting (closes on Friday). If I've created the poll correctly, vote for five and the top five will advance to the final round.

Quick thought on Donnelly: He lost by 6 points in a state that is heavily Republican, home of the Republican Vice President, and which was a top target for the President of the United States. Compared to Bayh's performance in 2016 +past democrat performances, I don't think it was a bad result by any means.

Walters is a good choice due to the circumstances (transfering money to other candidates and running for NRCC chair), but her performance was part of the greater Orange County storyline
