Nixon was put on the Working Families line for this race so that Cuomo could receive the line after he won the Democratic Primary. Of course in New York after a certain point a candidate has to be swapped to another race to be taken off a ballot line, so this is where Nixon ended up.

you have to take the chiltern hundreds to get off of the ballot on New York State.
