Data SourcesAnne H. Hopkins and William Lyons, Tennessee Votes 1799-1976, p. 46, states that Lincoln won 99.2% of the 17,264 votes cast. They do not give the actual votes of the two candidates. Lincoln's total was somewhere in the range 15,797 to 15,969. McClellan's vote was in the range 1,295 to 1,467.
Description Counties under Union control voted for President. However, when Congress counted the electoral votes, it decided not to include Tennessee.
