Cox is an awful candidate. His comparing the DMV wait line to the Holocaust and his overall being too conservative for California make it unlikely for him to even make the race close.

Democratic candidates got over 60% of the vote in the jungle primary - there's just no way Cox wins the general.

I can’t see Cox breaking 40% this year in California with Trump in the White House. The last two weeks pollsters move their models towards likely voters. I don’t we expect we will see any credible pollster putting Cox single digits back from Newsom.
