BBC Constituency Profile:
Ynys Mon ("Anglesey" in English) is an island constituency off the north west coast of Wales.
It is the only Welsh constituency to have been held at various elections by all four main parties In Wales. It is home to Wales' only nuclear power station at Wylfa - which is a major employer. It has an international ferry port at Holyhead which provides links to Ireland. Tourism also provides many jobs. 23% of the population is over 65 which puts it in the top 60 for over 65s for any constituency in England, Wales and Scotland.
The current MP is Albert Owen who first won the seat for Labour in 2001. At the last election, Mr Owen won with just over 33% of the vote. Plaid Cymru were second with 26%, the Conservatives third with 22% and the Liberal Democrats fourth with 7%. UKIP came sixth with 3.5%.
