Description |
Proposition 30 is called the “Temporary Taxes to Fund Education, Guaranteed Local Public Safety Funding Initiative.” It increases personal income taxes on households making more than $250,000 a year for seven years and increases sales taxes by a quarter percent on all Californians for four years. This would raise about $6 billion in annual tax revenue and would allocate it primarily toward K-12 education and community colleges.
