Sometime back when I first entered the magical world of 'Our Campaigns', one of my first of many (annoying, anger-inducing) comments decried WHO's selection of the middling-to-awful Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in early mid-2017 over the infinitely more qualified Sania Nishtar, a decision that WHO would live to regret.

The comment, I immodestly report, proves prescient [Link] This is a man of half a wit beholden to the powerful and the sixpenny. His inabilities were and still are a spectacle to behold. When push came to shove he became afflicted with deer-in-headlights syndrome, and has embarrassed his team and this institution (as they were warned by many, not just by me. But no one listens to me. I just howl to the sky).

The time to shove and push him out of WHO was yesterday.

International organizations have never been meritocracies.
