| Description |
Gascoyne-Cecil, then known under his courtesy title of Viscount Cranborne, initially entered the Lords in 1992 as Lord Cecil of Essendon. Upon the institution of the 1999 House of Lords act he was retained as Lord Gascoyne-Cecil of Essendon. He inherited 7th Marquess of Salisbury in 2003, but has been on leave of absence from the Lords since 2001.
Gascoyne-Cecil retired from the House of Lords on June 8th, 2017.
