Description |
The 3d Socialist Labor Party National Convention was held in Grand Central Palace, New York City. There were 83 delegates from 19 states present at the opening of the convention, with more arriving as the convention proceeded. This SLP convention had contested races for President and VP, which was rare for the party. Joseph Malloney was nominated for President on the first ballot, as shown below. Valentine Remmell PA was nominated for VP on the first ballot by a vote of 69 to 7 for W.B. Hammond MN and 17 scattering.
