| Description |
This referendum in on H.B. 148, the education vouchers bill passed by the Utah legislature during Feb. 2007. A yes vote on the referendum supports the voucher system which:
-Establishes a scholarship program for school-age children newly enrolled in private schools and continuing enrollment for lower-income families
-Provides scholarships of $500-$3000 per year depending on family size and income
-Allows school districts to retain some per-student funding for scholarship students who transfer to private schools
