Description |
The Colorado General Assembly met on November 15, 1876 to elect Senators to represent the State in the United States Senate.
Henry Teller and Jerome Chaffee were elected by the General Assembly to represent the State in the United States Senate. Teller and Chaffee drew straws for their terms.
Chaffee drew the long straw and was assigned the long term set to expire on March 3, 1879.
