Description The DR Party in Ohio divided over the so-called central control of the party by a machine dubbed 'Tammany.' Both factions nominated a slate of Electors, each pledged to Madison. The final vote: Tammany 6,455; Anti-Tammany 1,051.

Ohio's electoral votes were cast by John Jones, James Pritchard, Matthias Corwin, David Abbott, David Purviance, Thomas Ijams, James Dunlap, and John Hamm.
