Description | Eagleton's Center for Public Interest Polling (CPIP), also known as the Eagleton Poll, was established in 1971 with the primary mission of serving the state of New Jersey. One of the first, and most respected academic-based state survey research organizations in the country, CPIP continues to focus its efforts on public policy research and education. Eagletons media-based activities are conducted by CPIP through the Star-Ledger/Eagleton-Rutgers Poll.
CPIP conducts 25 to 30 projects in an average year, ranging from focus group discussions to large tracking surveys. This research has been conducted for every department in New Jersey state government, as well as for many local governments and community groups. In addition, CPIP has conducted regional and nationwide research projects.
