DescriptionJordanian branch of the Iraqi based Arab Ba'ath Party, originally launched in 1940 as the pan-Arab "Arab Ihya Movement" (Harakat al-Ihya al-'Arabi) by Arab nationalist and philosopher Michel Aflaq.

Though much diminished, the Ba'ath Movement still has aspirations to unite the Arab world into one nation.

Though party was established in 1951 as the "Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party – Jordan Region," it was legalized only in 1993.

Party is led by Akram al-Homsi and has one seat in Jordan's Chamber of Deputies.
