Pro-regime, former left-of-center collective turned party in March 2018 with high ambitions. Party works deep in the 'grassroots', setting up offices in Ecuador's smallest cantons and parishes. Party moved quickly 4 months after its birth to move into national competitions. Party is allegedly being used as a future presidential vehicle for its most prominent member, Edwin Moreno, brother of President Lenin Moreno. MEU was launched and is led by Fabián Zuñiga.
