| Description | Center-right, pro-free market party also known as the Party of Nationals. Party was founded as the Bareunmirae (바른미래당) on February 13, 2018 by the former Governor of Gyeonggi-do, Sohn Hak-kyu. After its dissolution on February 23, 2020, the Bareunmirae was taken over by software entrepreneur and 2017 Presidential candidate Ahn Cheol-soo, and reborn as the People Party (국민의당). Ahn Cheol-soo declared himself a candidate on November 1, 2021 for the presidential election planned for March 9, 2022, withdrawing 6 days before the election to endorse the People Power Party nominee Yoon Seok-youl. Ahn announced his intent to dissolve his People Party by late March 2022. |
