| Description | Right-of-center party originally named "Tricolor of the Citizens' Movement" [Trikolóra hnutí občanů (THO); shortened to "Trikolóra"] until June 3, 2021. Party was founded by Václav Klaus Jr., son of the former President of Chechia, Václav Klaus. Party was initially populated with former Civil Democratic Party (ODS) members, including two MPs who switched (Klaus Jr. included) and got its third MP in July 2020 from the Freedom and Direct Democracy party.
Václav Klaus Jr. had been chairman since September 28, 2019, resigning for unspecified reasons on March 23, 2021 after an alliance agreement had been signed with Svobodní and the Freeholder Party of the Czech Republic (renamed the Private Party on 12/28/2016) on March 4, 2021 [Link] The party's new chairman, Zuzana Majerová Zahradníková, with party support decided to rename the party Tricolor Free Privateers (or Tricolor Free Private; Trikolora Svobodní Soukromníci(TSS)) on June 3, 2021 and adopted a new logo the same day. |
